Job Title: Senior Litigation Support SpecialistDepartment: Electronic Discovery/ComplianceReports To: Litigation Support ManagerFLSA Status: ESUMMARY Provide administrative, technical, and operational integration of litigation support technology to the Firm's attorneys, litigation analysts, and paralegals. Act as a project leader and senior team member on litigation support and e-discovery projects with Project Manager and Technical Operations staff.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Delegate to and supervise junior staff on miscellaneous tasks including: data media duplication, data assessment, imaging (TIFF or PDF), spreadsheet manipulation, litigation graphics projects, coordinate and assist with tiff blowback and native file print.Participate in research, development, and implementation of tools and processes to enhance departmental service offerings.Communicate with legal team to define requirements, organization, and management of projects involving case-related documents and data.Develop recommendations, plans, cost estimates, budgets, procedures, and specifications for coding/imaging projects and in-house e-discovery projects.Coordinate creation of document productions (paper, image, native format) and advise legal team of requirements, formats, etc., and the exchange/sharing of data with client, co-counsel, etc.Shepherd all phases of production database creation- define case needs, design database structure, coordinate scanning and coding, collaborate with technical team to achieve project needs, engage and manage litigation support vendors, etc.Provide ongoing support for database end-users which includes training, search assistance, troubleshooting, etc.Provide database training (Concordance/Opticon, LiveNote, etc.) and assist users with searchesParticipate in trial prep, which includes coordinating vendors, assisting with designations, coordinating graphic projects, and providing database and other technical supportSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and delegate junior level staff on miscellaneous tasks.QUALIFICATIONS Thorough knowledge of the litigation process and expertise in the use of technology to support litigation efforts in both traditional litigation support and e-discovery projectsAbility to communicate the jargon of technical solutions to a non-technical audienceDemonstrated expertise with Concordance, LiveNote, and other litigation support toolsExpertise in some/all of these additional tools: Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Trial Director, Sanction, etc.Ability to multi-task, perform under tight time constraints and manage competing deadlinesStrives to continuously build knowledge and skills and share expertise with othersEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE " BA/BS degree" Minimum of 4 years working experience preferably in a law firm or litigation support service provider" Experience with litigation and discovery lifecycle management" Prefer working knowledge of electronic discovery processing software (e.g..
