Job Title: QA Tester
Location: New Carrolton, MD
Duration: 6 Month
Pay: $35/hour
Responsible for developing test cases for all aspects of the system including JCL execution, Documentation and Data Conversion test cases. Testing will be done on a Mainframe z/OS. The individual will have to be able to understand complex data mapping rules, create unit and integration test cases, and validate the results. The individual will also have to perform Configuration Management (CM) activities to deliver the various work products and help maintain ClearCase UCM on Unix; create and administer VOBs and views; Scripting and makefiles. Experience with IRS a plus, especially in the Wage and Investment business area, with IMF, and/or with CADE, data conversion testing experience, financial systems experience, knowledge of SQL and DB2.
Duties:
• Identify and develop Test Cases based on data conversion documents
• Identify test data and extract for test validation
• Create test data to validate mapping when the data in not available
• Execute and Validate tests
• Identify and document failed test cases for retesting
• Maintain Rational ClearCase VOB’s and Code Baselines
• Perform CM Activities to build and deliver work products
• REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Detail Oriented Testing skills
• Mainframe z/OS experience,JCL and TSO
• Rational Tools skills
• Configuration Management skills
• 2. Software development lifecycle experience
• 3. Strong communication skills
