Candidate will be responsible for the financial management of all commercial work in the New York/New Jersey BU. The position can be located in either NYC, Parsippany, NJ, or Fairfax, VA. Responsibilities include overseeing the calculation of revenue and expenses for projects, reporting/analyzing financial results for VP-level internal customers, development of monthly P&L statements and Balance Sheets, applying GAAP to determine appropriate accounting treatment (e.g., capitalization, deferred revenue, AFDA), preparation of audit materials, and leading reconciliation of balance sheet issues. Candidate will manage a 2-3 person team of analysts.
REQUIRED:
Education Requirements: BA/BA in Accounting or similar discipline. CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience and have some prior team management experience. Candidate should be familiar with U.S. GAAP revenue and expense recognition policies, specifically those related to software, professional services, and outsourcing services. Accounting and financial management experience with software, professional services, and outsourcing engagements is preferred. Candidate should be comfortable dealing with VP-level internal customers. Candidate must be highly proficient in using MS Excel (including advanced features) and should have experience with MS Access. Candidate should have experience creating profit/loss statements and other financial reports for individual lines of business.
