Our client, a leading vendor of enterprise software solutions, is seeking a Project Manager to handle post-sales implementation of its products. This is a virtual office position with 50-70% travel to client sites and our client Northeast US HQ. Position must be located near a major metropolitan Airport in the Eastern time zone. Individuals can be located near any of the following cities/ metro areas: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Boston, Philadelphia, DC/VA/MD, Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando)

Responsibilities:

Manage multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning techniques.
Must be a proactive and customer-centric interface between the client and the company, while ensuring that internal customers, technical staff and upper management are kept aware of project status, issues and escalations.
Plan, estimate and organize overall implementation of our client?s products while being applied in client environments.
Provide daily direction, motivation and support to project team.
Plan for project contingencies and anticipate variations that may affect resources, successful implementation and revenue recognition.
Manage applications through the various life cycle stages from the sale through design and delivery.
Must be able to understand critical path of projects, project flow, process planning, implementation and control.
Identify and categorize acceptable levels of risk and potential impact of risk factors.
Serve as the communication link between the client and our client?s throughout the entire project.
Must possess strong communication and organizational skills and be capable of providing written and oral feedback in a timely manner. Candidate must be process oriented and able to meet the rigorous documentation requirements of the position.
Act as liaison with other departments.
Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate project details and requirements to a wide variety of personality types, including all levels of management.
Direct activities both on-site and off-site.

Manage applications through the various lifecycle stages from the sale, through design and delivery.

Monitor compliance to project timelines.

Willing to travel at least 50% of the time. International travel may be required.


Education:

Requirements:
BS/BA degree with relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other applicable technical field.

A minimum of 3 years experience as a Project Manager in the telecommunications industry working with major companies in a vendor relationship.
Familiar with GANTT and PERT chart functions, writing timelines, and understanding the critical path of a project.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Process-oriented and able to meet rigorous documentation requirements.
