Our client, an International Network Service Provider, is a seeking a Network Specialist to work in its Downtown NYC office.
This position will funcation as the technical single point of contact for the client team on all technical, activation, and post implementation issues. Ensure that Our client is performing to the levels specified in customer contracts. Stay across all orders and make sure they are technically ready for activation. Coordinate activation times and dates for each circuit of customer services as needed.

Responisibilities:
Pre-Sales Support
Provide Technical Support Account Executives during sales meetings.
Assist in special project technical feasibility.
Manage the implementation of all technical requirements, project deliverables, to budget and to agreed quality standards.
Coordinate and direct all technical activities of project resources including those under line control and matrix control.
Ensure that all technical elements of the budgeting cost control and payment processes are implemented and controlled.
Manage the relationships with stakeholders such that requirements are clearly defined, progress is reported and expectations are managed.
Participate in technical development and re-engineering of product development processes.
Verify certain configurations are correct within the network and customer equipment.
Participate in development of policies and procedures of technical activation.
Contribute to implementation of improved technical activation practices.
Contribute to the technical development of fellow project managers both individually and as a group.
Network
Is responsible for communicating with own team members, customers, project steering group and colleagues in projects on one's technology area. Ability to create winning spirit to project. The geographical focus is one or several countries.
Circuit Testing and Activation
Participate in customer and vendor activations.
Responsible for verifying correct configurations on customer equipment.
Work with project manager and vendors to assist in activating sites.
Fault Management
Assist in Resolving and Report fault to relevant supplier using Internet based reporting systems.
Monitor Fault status and update customer and International Operations Center of details of fault status.
Trouble shoots possible causes of fault and determines whether it is associated with customer equipment or local carrier.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience
University or Bachelor level degree in Engineering or IT.
Minimum 5 years of related experience in the Telecommunications or IT sector, preferably with a Network Services Provider, preferably in Service Activation, Provisioning, Project Management, Network Operations Center or Customer Technical Support role.
Documented success in activating delivering projects (time, cost, content and resources).
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) a must and other Cisco Certifications a plus.
Microsoft Certifications (MCSE, MCP) a plus.
Experience with Cisco routers, Nortel switches, various CSU/DSU equipment and configuration.
Flexible schedule to accommodate global time zone demands.
Knowledge and experience of working in the US and or global telecommunications environment.
Knowledge of international PTT networks.
Experience with domestic and international circuit delivery methods
Experience with WAN products, such as ATM, FR, IPL, Internet, MPLS, and Fast Ethernet technologies.
Experience with of Global circuit delivery and testing.
Minimum of 5 years of commercial work experience
Ability to work under a fast paced environment and under tight deadlines.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive customer issues. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
