Job Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be that of a technical lead developer. This person will be asked to lead the technical aspects of projects primarily but not limited to projects in the Research area. This person will have to lead IT professionals working on the assigned projects, monitor and ensure that all development and change control processes conform to internal IT best practices and where required, to Sarbanes-Oxley controls. Responsibilities will also include:
- Recommending solutions to technical issues
- Coordinating technical solutions with other developers
- Experience with Data Warehouses
- Project planning
- Helping to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Managing issue escalation and resolution
- Interfacing with clients when required
- Interfacing with personnel from other areas within the organization
The ideal person will be someone who demonstrates dedication to the project, follows through consistently and independently on all assignments, knows when to escalate issues to the Project Manager, has the ability and resourcefulness to solve all technical challenges associated with the project and is able to work well in a team and individually.
Required Qualifications:
Education: College Graduate
Work Experience: Minimum 15 years in IT or related fields with more than 5 years technical IT experience.
Technical Skills: BusinessObjects, SQL Server, .Net technologies. Systems and data analysis. Excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS Project
Non-technical Skills: Excellent written and oral communication. Self motivated. Strong follow through.
Desired Qualifications:
Education: Advanced degree
Work Experience: Experience with Nielsen Ratings. Experience within the Media Industry.
Technical Skills: Microsoft Project
Non-technical Skills: Experience/ ability to teach or train others.
