Our client, a well established downtown-based internet media company, has and immediate need for a PHP Developer on a long-term consulting basis. The Web developer will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining PHP based web applications on a UNIX platform. Day to day the PHP Web Developer's functionality will include debugging, modification and upgrade of existing PHP code on a mySQL database. Will work as a key member of the technical team responsible for development, support and overall maintenance of company website. The development environment includes usage of HTML, CSS and JavaScript as a well as. The PHP developer will be a key member of the web development team.

-Exposure to other web development tools such as HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.
-Knowledge of OOP and MVC framework is a huge plus. -Experience developing on mySQL database strongly preferred.
-Strong web application development experience in a UNIX environment is a plus.
-Exposure to Java and Perl is a plus.
-Web applications server experience with Apache IIS is preferred.
