. SAP is now a plus NOT mandatory
. Project Manager experience is 5 - 10 years
. This person will initially work on this project 100% and in the future will work 50% on SAP project & 50% on future to be determined projects

. Person will be working a modified professional day - by contract compliance will be limited to 154 hours on a monthly basis / 38.5 per week
. Client uses CMM Level 3, Sixth Sigma
. Client wants someone that will understand the process , work well with Q/A
. Asset Management *(pension, annuities), financial services are a plus
. Strong Project Management skills and the ability to be flexible and work well in an environment with lots of change at all levels
. Some accounting *(A/R,A/P, workflow, allocation,consolidation) is desirable
. Need self-initiative and be able to drive projects start to finish with excellent results

Experience: Position Summary:
Briefly describe the overall purpose of the job (i.e., what, in general terms, the job holder is expected to achieve).
Provide time and materials contractor to fill GMAM IT Project Manager role on GMAM SAP New Instance project. The contractor will operate in a GM role and be responsible for the oversight and high level coordination of the project including the Performing Suppliers and the GMAM Finance area business users. The Performing Suppliers will create most of the SDP-21 required documents. The GMAM IT Project Manager will focus on guiding and assisting the GMAM Finance area in completing their contributions/deliverables to the project and validating the appropriate actions by the Performing Suppliers.

The selected GMAM SAP Project Manager should have the following experience/knowledge:
- at least 10 years complex IT project management experience
- at least 3 years SAP project management experience in a Financial Services environment, ideally for buy-side investment management firm
- full system development lifecycle experience and experience using complex project management methodologies
- strong business skills with previous experience in business process re-engineering and finance and general accounting functions.
The contractor will perform the above services on a full-time basis at the GMAM New York site.
