Genesis10 currently has a full time opportunity in New York City for an Application Developer/Analyst with iAvenue experience or another Sales/Content Management System.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. Responsible for working in an application development team that provides high quality support and development software tools for Sales, Client Service, and Marketing teams.
2. Develop software that will interact with the iAvenue vendor software from Saratoga Systems.
3. Develop and maintain SQL code and stored procedures used to support the Sales Team and interact with iAvenue.
4. Develop scheduled processes and support and maintain these processes to ensure information is available to the end users in a timely manner. This includes overnight processing which loads data into iAvenue.
5. Candidate will be involved in longer term project implementation in addition to smaller project tasks.
6. Candidate will provide support and system administration functions for the iAvenue system.
7. Candidate will develop a familiarity with the database structures, content and processing cycles to serve as an expert in the iAvenue system.
8. Candidate is expected to build a strong rapport with the Sales force and all end users of iAvenue.
9. Candidate must be flexible and have strong communication skills - both written and verbal - to facilitate prompt problem resolution.
10. Over time, the candidate will have the opportunity to work on other Client Service, Sales, and Marketing projects which are prioritized based upon business demand.
11. Candidate will need to be able to work independently and also as part of an overall Technology Team.
Experience: TECHNICAL KNOWLDEGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. BS Degree in Computer Science or similar curriculum.
2. 5+ years of application development experience.
3. Strong SQL experience required. At least 3 years relational database experience. Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred but not required.
4. Software development experience working for a firm in the Financial Services industry is not required but is strong plus.
5. Experience supporting job processing streams and scheduling environment is a plus.
BUSINESS KNOWLDEGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Experience working with iAvenue or another Sales/Contact Management System, while not required, is a very strong plus.
2. Investment Management background is a strong plus.
