SQL Server Developer, Database Developer SQL Server 2005!

Our client, a law firm in the downtown Manhattan area, has an immediate need for a SQL Server Developer on a long term consulting basis. The SQL Server Developer work to optimize and improve an existing clustered SQL Server 2005 environment. The SQL Server developer will develop complex SQL queries, triggers and stored procedures to create a database with better performance and enhanced features. The SQL Server developer will work with business users daily to assess what additional functionality is needed in order to develop new features and easier data interfaces. Additionally, the SQL Server 2005 database will soon be expanded to include other aspects of the business. Some SQL Server Architecture and Administration background would be helpful for additional phases of the project.

Experience: The ideal candidate will posses the follow skills:<br>
-Expertise with SQL Server 2000/05 development with emphasis on query optimizations, triggers and stored procedures.<br>
-Experience with SQL Server 2000 is required.<br>
-Exposure to SQL Server 2005 is a plus but not required.<br>
-Experience setting up databases from the ground up is helpful but not a must.<br>
-Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently is a plus.
