Responsibilities
The Director of Creative Services is responsible for managing a team of designers and professionals who produce materials for clients and prospects. The team is responsible for creative implementation of a broad variety of deliverables including product fact sheets, performance summaries, presentation books, screen shows, offset printed literature, electronic-only materials, on-demand production, event support materials and premiums, and branding standards. The team is comprised of full-time employees and consultants.
This person will lead the team to provide professional, high-end, attractive design solutions for offset printing and electronic delivery, as well as assist in the development of web graphics. The Director will need to develop a deep understanding of distribution channels, products, and sales processes, regulatory constraints, and usage needs of Global Sales, Product Management, and Portfolio Management teams. The Director will be responsible for ensuring brand strategy is effectively executed across all communications media. He/she will report to Head of Global Marketing and Communications.
ƒÞ In this role, this individual will:
ħ Partner with Global Marketing colleagues, business leaders, and design consultants (when needed) to strategize on internal and external brand messaging platforms, graphic look and feel, and appropriate delivery vehicles.
ħ Serve as an expert consultant in developing creative solutions, utilizing knowledge of industry best practices.
ħ Develop project plans and estimates as needed.
ħ Work closely with print procurement specialists at the parent company, internal copy room personnel, and external editorial and design consultants.
ħ Excel in oral and written communications including delivering presentations on possible design directions.
ħ Implement timely and cost-effective product rollout strategies.
ħ Manage the ongoing project to automate the delivery of fact sheets and presentation books through an outside online automation service provider.
ħ Communicate and work with Head of Global Marketing and Communications on identified risks and mitigation plans, process or quality opportunities, personnel, and resource optimization.
ħ Contribute as an active and positive team member across teams and within Global Marketing and Communications.

Experience: Requirements
ƒÞ 8-10 years of creative design experience; at least 2 years creative direction experience.
ƒÞ Experience in managing design projects in-house in the asset management industry highly preferred. Agency experience would be a plus. Proven track record in developing marketing campaigns and collateral is a must.
ƒÞ Experience in dealing with printers and attending press runs to ensure proper implementation of designs.
ƒÞ Expertise in both MAC and IBM. Hands on experience and proficiency in Adobe CS3, InDesign, Quark, Powerpoint, Excel, Word.
