- Building one or more test teams for a specific testing effort (i.e., for a new application/release of new functionality) and for coordinating, planning, and managing those test teams on a day-to-day basis;
- Develop test plans to ensure appropriate test coverage for each new application/ release;
- Drive test development and execution to meet the project objectives for each new application/release;
- Test code fixes and change requests after the software moves into production including regression testing as appropriate;
- Work with management to establish and maintain a testing framework that promotes a repeatable, quality-driven test process for all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Work with operations units to stabilize the system and to provide adequate testing resources for on-going maintenance.

Experience: To be considered for the position, candidates must possess the following mandatory skills and experience:
- Three years supervision of 4-6 person test team with demonstrated ability to build and mentor testers.
- 5 years hands-on functional test development and execution for enterprise-class application using multi-tiered application test environments
- 2+ years hands-on functional testing of complex application with interfaces and integration Hands-on, in-depth knowledge of software quality assurance/testing methodologies and practices.
- 2+ years hands-on functional testing using industry standard automated test tools (i.e., experience with cut-over from manual to automated testing)
- Familiarity with web-based IBM's Rational test tools for manual and automated testing and defect tracking and resolution (Manual Tester, Functional Tester, Test Manager, ClearQuest)
- Strong understanding of standard SDLC methodologies (knowledge of Rational Unified Process a plus)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends in order to meet target dates.
- Ability to plan and manage time based on schedules.
- Problem solving skills.
- BA in MIS, Computer Science, or related field
