Job Title: Oracle DBA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Contribute to the definition, creation and maintenance of enterprise data model · Develop project plans and manage database projects throughout the entire life cycle · Design the database schema which will store business-critical data · Design database tables, table relationships, indexes, and triggers. · Write PL/SQL applications · Work with users to define requirements and ensure database solutions meet business objectives · Conduct technical analysis and performance tuning · Assist with DBA responsibilities.
Requirements:
· 3-5 years using Oracle PL/SQL for development of stored procedures, database triggers and packages, especially using Oracle 8.x & 9.x. · Experience with physical data modeling and logical entity relationship modeling · Experience in performance tuning, multi-tier architecture application development. · Experience with database tools including ERWin, Oracle Developer, SQL *Plus, SQL *Loader, SQL *NET and Enterprise Manager. · Advanced database administration skills including database performance and tuning of database access methods, use of tablespace and dbspace, locks/contention, and query costs · Strong knowledge of UNIX shell scripting, PERL and DBI/DBD modules a plus · Ability to establish a high level of trust with users and ensure that business objectives are met.
