SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
The candidate will be a solution provider to the DBAs and developers on Oracle Database design and administration and to come up with standards and working practices.
Excellent all round knowledge of Oracle is required.
Experience: • Must be very proficient in a variety of Oracle Database specific technologies including but not limited to:
• Common DBA tasks (10g)
• Oracle 10g Internals
• Oracle Performance Tuning
• Partitioning
• Warehouse Design Basics
• RMAN and Oracle Backup/Recovery in general
• Data Guard (physical and logical)
• RAC (10g) including all components, e.g. CRS
• ASM
• Oracle Database Security
• Basic Unix Skills
• PL/SQL — including knowledge of triggers, stored procs, etc.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to perform a variety of duties and multi-task.
• Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility. Resourceful is the key.
