Senior Help Desk Technician (Vista) in New York, NY

The Senior Help Desk Technician will be the single point of contact for the support and maintenance within the desktop computing environment at corporate headquarters, 9 remote branch offices as well as client project office space.



Primary Responsibilities

. Support for several hundred users in a predominately Microsoft Windows Vista environment

. Accept incoming problem tickets from end-users requiring analysis, diagnosis and resolution to various desktop technical and training issues

. Initial investigation of bottlenecks with networking response time and bandwidth issues

. Solve network connectivity problems with TCP/IP protocols

. Maintain an inventory of all equipment


Experience: . Excellent customer service skills

. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

. Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot Windows Vista operating systems and applications

. Advanced knowledge of remote access applications

. Proven computer hardware troubleshooting ability

. Applications supported include Outlook, Office 2007 and PDA devices (Blackberry & Treo)

. Familiar with DNS, DHCP, WINS

. Experience with Active Directory and Systems Administration



Requirements

. 3-5 years of Desktop Support experience

. 3-5 years experience with Windows XP operating system and knowledge of Vista

. Assemble desktop stations

. Advanced knowledge of hardware, accessories and networking

. MS Certification a plus
