Robert Half Technology is currently recruiting for an ASP.NET Developer with Financial Systems experience for a consulting to hire opportunity at a large private investment firm in Manhattan. This person will participate and drive full lifecycle development of internet and intranet websites for a firm that invests heavily in it's technology team.
Responsibilities
Follow best practices in design, development, and support of firm’s intranet and internet web sites
Integration of third-party and internal applications into intranet/internet web sites including HRIS, document management etc.
Design and development of HRIS web portal
Required Skills/Experience
5 – 10 years of strong application development expertise using
- ASP.NET 2.0, C#, Ajax, XML, Java Script,
- Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services. Experience with Microsoft best practices in developing intranet applications.
- SQL Server – experience in database modeling (normalized design, indexes, performance tuning), extensive hands-on stored experience developing stored procedures
- Must have expertise in all aspects of web application development lifecycle (design, development, testing, production rollout and support)
- Solid communication skills (written and verbal). Hands-on experience in developing complete design documentation following a standard methodology.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Prior experience with top 5 consulting firms or similar background working with structured teams preferred
- Business Objects portal development experience a plus
- Expertise with workflow products (metastorm, others) a plus
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where ability to multi-task is critical.
