Analyst, Information Security - UNIX in Buffalo, NY

Description:



The incumbent will work with Information Security Access Infrastructure and Infrastructure/UNIX team members, performing user administration tasks on UNIX servers managed by Information Security. These tasks will include:



  • Processing approved Technology Access Request System (TARS) requests per business timelines (normal SLA is 72 hours)



  • Managing the "Infosec UNIX Support"GWI/TARS ticket queue, avoiding backlogs of access requests and ensuring proper routing of particular requests to appropriate Infrastructure/UNIX team members



  • Password assignments and resets as required





    Additional responsibilities include:



  • Performing daily reconciliation of terminated/retired employee ID lists to UNIX

    IDs



  • Performing monthly review of inactive UNIX/Linux login IDs in accordance with

    documented procedures, providing evidence of completion



  • Creation/maintenance/reporting of key user administration metrics



  • Preparing written status reports as required





    Additionally, incumbent will be responsible for ensuring adherence to Group and local policies, procedures, and standards. Experience: Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience in Information Security. Experience with access technologies such as SSH, "sudo", etc. a plus

  • Experience with various UNIX operating systems, including: AIX/SUN/HPUX/
    LINUX

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment

  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of IT professionals (e.g server and database administrators, applications developers, testers, team managers, et al)
