I. Position Summary:

The Analyst works with the Information Technology (IT) Project Manager and JetBlue business units to proactively facilitate the identification, implementation, and modification of business processes and systems to meet user needs while respecting and complying with Company and IT policy standards and guidelines.

II. Essential Functions:

? Proactively assumes responsibility for Customer relationships, establishes IT priorities with business unit, and applies strategic and tactical problem solving approaches
? Ensures support of existing production application systems and process efficiency
? Acts as lead role on advanced business systems projects, responsible for the complex analysis and requirements definition for applications that automate business processes
? Defines content of necessary project and user documentation
? Interfaces with department Managers to identify and resolve business system problems, and consults with various users to identify potential improvements
? Provides peer leadership and reviews work of lower grade Business Analysts
? Applies Company directed project management techniques for small to medium sized projects

May also be responsible for the following:
? Mapping current business processes using Visio, determines interface requirements, and resolves issues that cross multiple systems or areas which may affect the process
? Analyzes/understands all data and information required for new processes
? Provides business process redesign analysis to support changes and technology opportunities
? Develops detailed functional specifications documents that can be used by the Developers to develop technical specifications
? Develops detailed use case scenarios, process flows, wire frames and specifications
? Attends weekly team prioritization meetings
? Facilitates User Acceptance Testing
? Provides status to various internal business groups
? Develops internal communications
? Provides problem resolution and status updates for, to and from multiple departments

III. Interactions:

Supervision Received:

? Receives general instructions on what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected, deadlines, and priority of assignments from Supervisor. Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instruction but receives additional specific instructions from Supervisor for new, difficult, or unusual assignments

IV. Minimum Qualifications:

? Bachelor's Degree required
? Strong experience, participation and understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
? Two (2) plus years of detailed software requirements gathering experience
? Regular attendance and punctuality
? Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
? Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
? Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
? Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
? When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

V. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

? Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Visio
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Proficient comprehension of the business functions for which applications are used
? Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and software development methodologies
? Solid understanding of the capabilities and limitations of technology
? Proficient analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
? Practiced in developing relevant documentation
? Demonstrated experience in small to medium sized project management
? Experience facilitating user testing and training
? Internal and external customer relationship management
