POSITION OVERVIEW/MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
. Responsible for gathering software requirements and documenting these requirements
. Responsible for planning and management of one or more projects following established processes and standards
. Contribute to process improvement efforts
. Responsible for communication with project stakeholders on both the business and the IT side of the company
. Manage projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost
. Manage deviations from plan keep all stakeholders informed as to the status of the project
. Escalate decisions and unresolved issues
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ARE MANDATORY FOR CONSIDERATION:
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & WORK EXPERIENCE
? BS or higher in computer science, finance or related fields
? Experience in software requirements gathering in a financial institution. Skilled at conducting interviews, facilitating brain-storming sessions, JAD sessions and other requirements elicitation techniques
? Must have demonstrated ability to translate gathered requirements into functional specifications using industry standard techniques such as RUP, UML, etc.
? Experienced in applying fundamental project management techniques like building and maintaining dynamic project schedules, issue and risk management, and project status communication on all levels of the organization.
? Proven ability to work independently as part of a dispersed team
? Proven ability to establish and manage relationships with key business stakeholders as well as IT staff.
? Knowledge of global investment cycle/processes
? Knowledge of software development processes, project management processes and service delivery and service management processes
? Excellent communication skills required - verbal, written and presentation.
Any experience with the following applications is a plus:
o Test Director,
o Remedy
MS Project, Excel and Access.
