Job Description- PeopleSoft Reporting Analyst Under the direction of the Functional Design Team Lead, the PeopleSoft Report Analyst will work within the Business Analysis Team and be primarily responsible for: designing, developing, and report templates and other duties including troubleshooting and optimizing new and existing reports. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate and interact with users from across the organization in order to turn business requests into detailed report specifications, ensuring that all requirements have been captured, documented and signed-off on by appropriate parties. Must be in a position to translate the specifications into useful, accurate reports in a timely manner. S/He may assist in development of project plans as pertinent to reporting needs using the associated project planning tools, which include work plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, detailed tasks, and deliverables. Will support the business units to the HR and Benefits modules. Will support all phases of the life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and post-production support/maintenance functions. Will also act as liaison between the Technical Team and the End Users. Responsibilities: These responsibilities will be applied across three (3) tracks of work viz; 1. New Functionality Releases, 2. Existing Functionality and 3. Agency Rollout Support. Will be responsible for all reporting requirements and interface requirements, design that result from Fit Gap analysis from the Rollout to process. Essential DAILY Duties: ? Acquire knowledge of our multiple types of operations data with the desire to understand how the information is used by the business. ? Interact with internal report owners to establish/clarify their requirements and develop report specifications. ? Provide thoughtful analysis and enhance the report owner?s perspective by using a combination of available information, tool functionality and business knowledge. ? Ensure distributed results are consistent, reliable and accurate through aggressive testing and quality control efforts. Essential PERIODIC Duties: ? Train report owners to retrieve and create reports, including how to run/modify existing reports and build basic reports using available data elements. ? Escalate the need for new data elements to be added to the warehouse to the appropriate resources. ? Resolve end user reporting problems through collaboration with Functional Design and Development Team as required. ? Work with end users to schedule automation of reports (weekly, monthly, etc.). Essential Skills 3+ years with Peoplesoft 8.x (HR, Benefits and Benefits Admin). Minimum 2-3 years of custom reporting design and implementation experience with PS Query, SQL Crystal Reports, Cognos and Vista Plus or Mobius. 2-3 years experience in problem solving and analysis and 2 ? 3 years experience in entire SDLC cycle. Strong business acumen and professional style/presence, experience working on an enterprise wide project is a must. Additional experience: working within a matrix environment; excellent communication (oral and written) interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
