Software Engineer Java in Syracuse, NY

Applicant must have 4 years experience that includes program coding, program maintenance, user interface, and problem determination/resolution. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Applicant must have the ability to work effectively with a team of analysts, programmers, product engineers and user staff in an application development environment. Must have 2 years experience developing and maintaining applications using MS Visual Studio. Must have 2 years experience developing and maintaining applications using a Sun Java base IDE platform. Must have 2 years experience with Database development including: ER diagrams, database structure strategy, application programming, and database administration. Must have over one year experience working with data storage in XML files and using XML files to communicate between applications. Must have good understanding of formatting and manipulating an XML file using XSLT. Must be familiar with migrating data from application to application, command line programming, setting up test plans and using them to test and debug code. Must have over a year experience with advanced data mining concepts. Experience with Parametric Technologies' Pro/Engineer CAD and database systems is a plus. 7 years with BSME, 4-6 with MSME.
