The Grow Network currently has an outstanding opportunity for a Systems Analyst. The System Analyst works with Architects and Product Managers to translate business-level requirements into system-level requirements, builds technical and supporting documents, and manages their workflow for multiple implementation projects within a defined product line. Act as central contact for the architecture and design for a product line for product managers, executives and onshore/offshore development teams. ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIESWork with business analysts to construct System Requirement Specification documents from use-cases and supporting documentation Document the architecture vision and tactical directions for existing and forthcoming Grow products in conjunction with other System Analysts and Architects Develop or review estimates for Elaboration and Construction phase activities of offshore teams Provide technical leadership and standards setting for the definition, workflow and management of technical design and requirement documents Attend architecture and SA COP meetings Work with Product Managers to define support documents Think creatively with Product Managers to brainstorm new innovations and directions. Work with Architects to define and build robust documentation and specifications for archtiectures, designs and other artifacts Work with the Product and Design Teams to develop robust technical roadmaps and plans Work with the PMO and Business Analysts to build best practices in requirements management Ability to demonstrate a full understanding of base computer science concepts Deep experience with current software development and management practices like RUP and UML, as well as Agile and Lean processes Deep experience writing clean, clear, understandable, organized, traceable requirements for use by distributed teams. Deep and proven experience working to detail Use Cases and Scenarios, and aligning with existing core IP such as domain models, identity models, etc Experience collaborating directly with Business Analysts and Architects to build architectural descriptions and system requirements specifications, including non-functional requirements and design constraints Understanding of Java and JEE5 and exposure to technologies such as JSPs and JSTL, JAXB, JDBC, JMS, ORM software, and JBoss SEAM and Jakarta Struts Understanding of SOA architectures, design and development with WSDL/SOAP, REST, JBI, or SCA Understanding of XML and XSLT systems used for rendering content Understanding of data warehousing and reporting systems Excellent communication, writing, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal skills Experience in educational instruction or educational assessment field definite plus Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Minimum of five+ years experience in a purely analyst role using object oriented technologies in database-driven print and/or web development McGraw-Hill Education: Where the World Learns to Succeed We are an equal opportunity employer
