Our client a large Investment Bank is looking for a Project Manager/ Relationship Mananger for a long term contract. The Relationship Manager is the primary point of contact and advocate for Global Application Development and the business into TIS/IBDS.
In this Trusted Advisor capacity they will aid their clients to navigate through the TIS organization and its processes, resolve tactical & strategic conflicts and facilitate bi-directional strategic & operational information exchange between TIS and GAD.
RM's also provide the wider TIS organization a mechanism for the advancement of firm wide technology initiatives, such as OS Patching, Disaster Recovery Testing & Technology rollouts.
RM's support the firms Risk & Cost Control Initiatives directly by championing the delivery of innovative strategies within the IT organization (e.g. Virtualization, Data Center migrations) and pro-actively seek to reduce infrastructure costs & complexity in the environment (e.g. consolidations, decommissions).
They will also support their GAD clients in the same through the facilitation of budgeting and planning of infrastructure requirements, assisting in the attainment of Project CAPEX approvals and conduct regular Cost Transparency checkpoints to ensure continuous cost management and inventory cleanup.
Experience: Application SDLC, Infrastructure.
Work Experience
Minimum 3 years experience of IT project management
Experience of working in global organisations and teams
Experience working across multiple teams
Prior background in Information technology is essential and a varied knowledge of relevant application server technologies coupled with a working understanding of the clients business is crucial to successfully servicing the business
This role requires a highly self-motivated, pro-active person with strong analytical skills
Investment Banking experience
Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge
Project Management - knowledge and qualification in at least one structured methodology - e.g. PRINCE II.
Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
Overall understanding of infrastructure technologies(OS platforms, hardware types, storage process, DB platforms)
MS Office Suite including MS Excel
