BASIC FUNCTION:As part of M&T’s Lending Services division, the Database Programmer would be responsible for supporting the AFS system and development of ad hoc reporting for various lines of business that is supported. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support for the AFS system. This support includes maintaining the current system as well as planning for efficiency gains offered in future AFS releases. Develop SAS programs to facilitate efficient completion of reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis Develop complex Microsoft Access and/or MS SQL databases to support off-line tracking of commercial loan and mortgage activity. Develop Crystal Reports technical specifications related to the RDL/ Business Objects environment. Develop Business Object Universes for Commercial and other COE’s. Develop complex Microsoft Excel worksheets to complement commercial loan and mortgage activity. Perform daily and monthly reporting of commercial loan mortgage activity and facilitate enhancements. Support department as LAN administrator, organizing and manage small to mid sized projects with NCS, Synergy as well as outside vendors. Addresses user concerns and problems, evaluates concerns, and develops proper solutions. Monitors and resolves departmental disk space utilization issues. Performs other related assignments as requested by management. Support current and future departmental applications on an as needed basis.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in MIS or 5 years experience in a related MIS field Minimum of two (2) years experience in the Information Systems field Proven programming skills utilizing Visual Basic and/or SAS and/or MS SQL Must be a team player but also at times the incumbent must be able to perform required duties with minimal supervision. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: SAS report writing experience Visual Basic MS SQL Project Management AFS System Administrator
