We are looking for a self starter to assist in providing desktop support on a rotating schedule on-site as well as remotely to a leading major television company, and a Book and Magazine Publishing Division. Candidates must have excellent people skills, strong desktop trouble shooting skills and experienced with migration, upgrades and supporting of MS Windows XP and Vista Operating Systems, MS Office 2007 Suite, Outlook and IE 2007. We prefer someone experienced supporting a PC and Macintosh System environment with Desktop Publishing Applications.
The prospective candidate will have an opportunity to work in a great environment with a fun and dynamic cast supporting a top entertainment company.
Some of the task will include one or more of the following:
PC/Mac user support, new hire systems setups, and desktop/laptop software migrations and upgrades.
Provides quick response and maximum uptime for all users and performs end user training when necessary.
Performs Desktop, Desk-side and Remote trouble shooting and resolution. Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to personal computers.
Requires PC system experience in a LAN and Corporate environment, strong understanding of Windows operating systems, experience with all Microsoft Office products as well email and troubleshooting internet and connectivity problems.
Provides technical on-site and remote maintenance and support for new and existing systems.
This job may include any aspect of field support, domestic travel, weekend and/or holiday scheduling and is not limited to system hardware and software, PC's, and IP networking.
Work Days are: Tues - Sat

Note: Incumbents in the Consultant level are often providing highly technical support to executives..
