You must be able to join Ajilon Consulting as a W2 hourly employee for this opportunity, no H1B or corp to corp.
Experience: candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimum levels of efficiency and accuracy with our computer data center/services through the supervision of junior level computer operators. This resource will be supervising 2 other individuals.
Essential Duties:
. Solid experience and strong working knowledge in a production Unix client server and windows server environment
. Provides direct supervision of the data center associates.
. Responsible for verification that the daily run logs, processing schedules are complete and accurate.
. Responsible for proper handling of tapes and ensures proper and timely distribution of output.
. Responsible for proper escalation, communications, and management of production system problems.
. Responsible for training associates in the daily routines and required communications.
. Provides daily status reports and input to the Management team.
. Identifies and reports to direct manager any process improvements that could provide additional efficiencies to the daily operation of the data center.
.Ability to train less experienced staff is required.
Proficient with Microsoft Windows & Unix operating systems and utilities. Understands file and directory structure and can easily navigate through the operating system. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Assoc deg and 3-4 year exp.
Required Skills
-Prior experience as a shift supervisor of a data center
-Experience with supervising 2 or more team members
-Must be willing to work 2nd shift 4pm-12:30am
-must be proficient with basic Unix/Windows skills
