Java Swing GUI Developer - Equities or Fixed Income
Our client, an award-winning Investment Bank located in New York City, is recruiting for a mid to senior level Java Swing GUI Developer to join their Equities group. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of the Equities Order Management System. Along with being a strong Java Swing GUI Developer, you must also have experience in the analysis, design and implementation of real-time message driven systems. You will need at least 3 years of experience working within the finance industry for an Investment Bank, Hedge Fund or similar trading firm with strong Equities and/or Fixed Income product knowledge. This position provides great business exposure as you will be liaising with business users including traders, quants and all levels of management.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- 5+ years Java experience.
- 3+ years Swing experience.
- 1+ years Tibco / Rv.
- 3+ years Relational Databases (Sybase or Oracle).
- 3+ years Unix Environment.
- 3+ years Perl Script and/or other Scripting Language (Python, Shell, etc.).
- 2+ years Multi-threaded design and implementation.
- 3+ years General understanding of TCP/IP and UDP.
- 3+ years FIX protocol.
