Description Our client, one of the world's leading financial service providers, is seeking a resource that will be performing HDS Storage Performance Analysis Location: New York, NY Type of Position: Contract Details about the role: Validate all existing array configurations for potential performance contention (FED balance, fan in/out ratio, BED/disk distribution, Parity Group performance balance, HDP Pool layout, external storage port/priority group/LUN balance, AMS LUN/controller balance, external LUN cache mode setting validation) Update design best practices to current performance practices for future configurations Migration planning: Validate port and LUN allocations prior to host migrations. Verify io profile of hosts prior to migrations for layout planning, where possible Assist in troubleshooting exercises in the case a performance issue arises Proactively monitor Tuning Manager for each array on a semi-weekly basis Report performance delivery to Storage Operations Management on a weekly or bi-weekly basis Develop practical performance capability analysis tools (disk performance, array component throughput and IOPS capabilities, etc.) Familiarize Storage Operations with performance layout best practices Familiarize Storage Operations with Tuning Manager reporting capabilities Client account and client interviews are required
