Our client, a global market research firm which offers customized services to a client base that includes many Fortune 100 companies is seeking an Information Technology Director.
This individual will be responsible to manage the development of all IT functions including systems and infrastructure develo9pment, and to lead technology initiatives that involve translating needs identified by clients (external) and their strategic technology task force (internal) into world class business solutions.
Responsibilities:
. Participates in client and board task force discussions and provides though leadership in articulating technology requirements and system solutions for complex business process.
. Leads all major IT projects to assure compliance with their client's technology requirements as well as IT policy, standards and security guidelines.
. Ensures that key IT/technology priorities are implemented on-time and on-budget.
. Recommends appropriate staffing and resource requirements including cost effective outsourcing strategies for system design and development.
. Manages the day-to-day activities of the IT team in partnership with the data analysis and survey development teams.
Experience: Skills Required:
. Proven success in managing the complete technology development life cycle.
. Experienced at the executive level in developing a corporate "IT vision" for our client, one that enriches its customer engagements and research capabilities.
. Proven track record for successfully selecting and managing outsourcing/consulting partners.
. Strong written and verbal communications skills to facilitate client and senior staff interaction.
. Strong team management skills, including consensus-building and negotiation techniques.
. Experienced in managing IT infrastructure development and an IT environment that includes SQL and relational database programs and systems, structured query languages, advanced analytical programs, portal technology, internet protocols and standards and data warehousing.
. Ability to troubleshoot applications and identify appropriate solutions and modifications.
. Ability to manage and execute projects in a fast paced environment.
Minimum Requirements:
. Eight to ten years of progressive responsible positions in forward thinking IT environments including strategic management of technology development and software systems. Knowledgeable of business process and design of targeted technology solutions.
. Bachelor's degree required. Training and/or working experience in computer science, information systems technology, management and/or business administration is preferred. Master's degree in a relevant area would be advantageous.
