One of SGA's major financial clients is looking for a Project Manager for a contract position in New York, NY. The ideal candidate must be able to self-manage and handle multiple work streams and tasks simultaneously. This person needs to have a strong sense of urgency with exceptional follow-thru skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have demonstrated success and prior experience in SAS70 certifications. The expectations are that the candidate will be able to verbalize the requirements for obtaining an unqualified SAS70 certification and be able to help lead a willing, but inexperienced group of technologists through the process. The candidate must have strong project management skills as well as the background to provide clarity in regular executive level status reports and an ability to produce clear project level documentation.The candidate must be a strong team player and be willing to liaise with the two other project managers. This person should be able to drive change within a fast-paced environment and clearly articulate the need for such change. The candidate must have a firm understanding of the interactions between various technology groups, e.g. systems analysts, application development, production support, help desk, infrastructure, and architecture teams so as to ensure effective
Additional Skills Required:
College degree in Technology with an emphasis on Information Systems Management/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minor or second major in Business/Accounting. Advanced degrees, Project Management certifications or CPA license a plus.
3+ years experience as an IT professional.
Minimum 3 yrs experience as a Project Manager.
2+ years experience with planning, implementing and supporting business applications in a multi-platform network environment.
Experience with Microsoft SQL, ASP.NET, C#, Crystal Reports and SharePoint.
Experience with Business Intelligence Analytical tools a plus.
