Description Our client, a major global financial services provider engaged in retail and commercial banking, is seeking a Senior C++ Analytics Developer for their Securitized Product Group. Location: New York Permanent position Department Overview Securitized Product Group - IT is responsible for the development and support of front, middle and Back Office applications and systems that are used to support Securitized products business at Client. Products scope Asset Backed Security, Commercial Mortgage Backed Security, Whole Loans and Residential Mortgage Backed Security. These business areas require specialized applications and technology solutions. Securitized Products IT supports the ability of the business to participate in sales, trading and research for Securitized Products. Main Function The successful candidate will be joining a team of developers supporting and extending an analytics and risk platform. The candidate is expected to build an in-depth analytics library for Securitized Products. We are seeking a developer with experience in C++ and experience in the analytics of mortgage-backed securities. Working as part of the analytics team the candidate would be sharing the expertise with other members working on other aspects. Main Duties The developer will be involved in testing, development and support of core components in our analytics and risk system. Person Requirements Qualification/Education Required Degree level (math in finance, computer science, numerate or financial related) Qualification/Education Preferred Post graduate degree level Experience Required 2+ years developer experience in fixed income or global securities firm. 4+ years experience contributing to large scale C++ Back End systems. 2+ years experience contributing to a risk/analytics library. Experience Preferred Knowledge of mortgage products. Knowledge of fixed income analytics. Skills/Aptitude Required We are looking for a senior level developer who has the following skills: Good C++ development skills. Strong business and analytics skills. Strong problem solve ability. Good Unix development skills.
