We have an immediate need for a Selenium Functional Test Specialist - long term contract in midtown
JOB DESCRIPTION
Develop test plans and test cases according to business and technical requirements
Conduct exploratory testing and acceptance of new features, execute test cases
Identify bugs through systematic testing, help developers reproduce errors, report defects and ensure that defects are fixed
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Working knowledge of Selenium
The successful candidate will have 4 or more years QA experience in an enterprise software product environment
Ability to generate test plans independently and become an expert quickly on the feature areas you have owned, in order to test those areas effectively
Must have experience writing automated tests .
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects .
Ability to communicate and collaborate with developers to identify bugs through systematic testing, help developers reproduce errors, ensure that defects are fixed, and structure robust test cases
Candidates must have strong technical skills, such as an ability to understand basic SQL syntax for checking results in a database .
Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
Understanding of enterprise software product life cycle, QA principles and process
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies
Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
MS/BS in Computer Science or a related field preferable
