Full-Time, 12-Month Position
Orange County Community College is a fully accredited community college with approximately 6,000 students and off-site centers in Orange County, NY, 70 miles north of New York City and 90 miles south of Albany.
Reports to the Associate VP of IT/CIO of SUNY Orange. Responsibilities include managing the day to day operations of the ITS Dept User Support and Operations personnel, serving as proxy in the absence of the AVP of IT, as well as handling project management for various IT projects. This position will interact with all levels of the college and will require excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Must have a strong focus and commitment to customer service. Some weekends or extended hours possible.

Experience: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or comparable field and 5 years of related IT Management experience. Experience in the operations of MS Windows and Linux (UNIX) systems in a standard operations production environment. Management experience in an IT department including Helpdesk, PC Support and Data Center operations. Experience in software/hardware procurement and support. Experience in developing and managing vendor relationships. Possess a thorough understanding of asset management principles and practices including software licensing, hardware turnover and maintenance agreements. Preferred: Experience with Novell. Experience leading/managing projects. Experience with Oracle DB, and SunGard's Banner ERP software/applications. Bilingual skills.
