Sr Business Analyst - Financial Industry - Full Time in PURCHASE, NY

The role of the Business Analyst is to serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Including analyzing business operations to understand strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Assisting in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translating high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Ensuring completeness and correctness of business deliverables; ensuring that requirements are accurately translated end-to-end from front end to back end; coordinate UI testability resources; developing plans for designing reports, forms, and creating user procedures.
Experience: Strong working knowledge of functional subject area
Knowledge of the design and development methodology (exposure)
Knowledge of relational data base concepts
Knowledge of requirements process and deliverables
Knowledge of UI design
Knowledge of Change control process
Knowledge of User Procedures Design
Knowledge of reports & forms design
Ability to make decisions regarding UI design
Ability to coordinate resources and arrange review sessions for UI design
Strong organizational and oral/written communication skills
Ability to give presentations easily, professionally and creatively
Meeting/group facilitation fundamentals
Ability to work well with technical and business staff to achieve project objective(s)
Demonstrating leadership, initiative, integrity and mentoring
Ability to define alternative solutions and negotiate the right solution with the client
Ability to demonstrate customer service skills; providing flexibility in handling both internal and external customer related issues
Ability to acquire and stay current with business and industry knowledge and technology trends
Ability to demonstrate drive, persistence and personal ownership of assignments
Ability to make decisions and demonstrate problem solving skills; analysis, prioritization and risk taking

Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or related discipline preferred
3 plus years of relevant technical or business work experience.
Financial, investment and pension knowledge preferred.
