Job Description
We are seeking a motivated, high energy candidate who will fill a hands-on performance engineering role which spans across our product suite.
Job Responsibilities
Design and develop performance metric gathering methods for product suite.
Design, implement and execute performance testing plans.
Evaluate product code, techniques and implementations from other development teams.
Focus on our low-latency, real-time trading engines.
Collaborate with development team members to ensure high quality, low-latency operation of product lines.
Collaborate with Senior Architect and developers in the design and implementation of software instrumentation.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Application Support teams to improve system metrics, identify potential product performance hotspots, and ensure product performance.
Experience: Education/Experience
. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related degree . 5+ years software engineering experience, 2+ years combined of the following: Java, real-time trading, messaging systems - TIBCO EMS, Tibco Rendezvous, IBM
MQ/Series, ActiveMQ or other equivalent
Required Skills:
Software development . Real-time programming . Concurrent, distributed programming . JAVA Threading and sockets . Message formats: FIX / XML . JMS / JMX / Swing/JFC GUIs . Relational databases - Oracle/MySQL/Sybase/Postgress
Infrastructure . UNIX / Linux / Solaris . Application servers (Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere)
Project management . Strong verbal and written communications
Experience with the following a plus:
