Our client has an immediate need for a SQL Server Developer. This company is looking for a consultant to support Microsoft SQL 2000, Microsoft Access 2000 and 2003 and Pervasive databases. As a SQL Server Developer, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of database administration, security administration, backup and recovery planning, data modeling, performance tuning, and research and evaluation of new tools and techniques. This role will also include Crystal reporting, automating processes, and developing policies, standards and procedures related to the database environment, as well as performing other duties as necessary. Experience: To be considered for this position, the incumbent must possess the following:
• 2 to 3+ years of experience working directly with Microsoft SQL 2000 Databases, Microsoft Access 2000 and Crystal Reports
• Experience with database utilities to keep the integrity of the database in place, or equivalent education/experience
• Familiarity with XML communication and or experience in upgrading from Microsoft SQL 2000 to Microsoft 2005 is preferred
• Experience in Pervasive, Delphi and Visual Basic is desired
• Working knowledge of networks and basic troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service skills
