Description Our client, a global financial services firm and a market leader in securities, asset management and credit services, is seeking a ChangeMan/WSAA/RDz Systems Programmer.Location: New York , NY Type of position: Contract This individual will be responsible for the day to day support of ChangeMan, WSAA and RDz. This position will work closely with several infrastructure and operations organizations such as QA environment management, production services and the network control center as well as client development organizations to ensure high availability and deliver quality support services. This results-oriented job requires a balance of strong technical skills and business processes, a sense of urgency resolving problem issues, creativity, work schedule flexibility, adaptability to changing business conditions and a commitment to customer satisfaction.Responsibilities: Assist in the installation of new software product versions/releases. Research and apply proactive software maintenance. Perform problem diagnostics and resolution. Provide input to development organizations on project initiatives. Use performance reports/metrics to identify improvement opportunities. Contribute to root cause investigation. Document changes. Required skills: Experience installing, configuring, implementing, tuning and debugging software packages.Expertise with ISPF dialog manager, JCL, REXX. Knowledge of Assembler, XML, CICS, DB2, RACF, NDM, SQL, UNIXProven ability to articulate and communicate technical information, ideas and strategies to both the application development community and business peers and clients. Must be able to apply aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills to complex problems.Must be adaptable, resourceful, customer focused, willing to take accountability and drive issues/projects to completion.A customer service orientation that places a high value to the success of the application development is required. The candidate must be well organized and able to effectively communicate with all levels of management clearly and concisely.Has excellent writing skills (concise and clear), and is skilled at diagrammatically representing processes, workflows, and ideas Desired skills: Familiarity with Mainframe programming languages.
