QA Manager – New York – Financial Markets
The QA Manager will partner across business lines to provide Quality Assurance leadership; lead and manage a Quality Assurance team to improve the quality of the software distributed to production.
Responsibilities:
Test strategy, planning, execution and test environment support for all testing engagements
Manage a team of Quality Assurance analysts responsible for supporting all test activities i.e. planning, execution, test environment support and possibly release management for all applications within an application area
Be accountable for the success of the QA Program
Official sign-off approval on releases ready to be promoted to production
Manage the execution of the QA Strategy including business acceptance, user acceptance, and system integration
Drive the implementation of QA Program and assist with the overall QA process improvement.
Provide leadership in the creation and adherence to Quality Assurance processes and methodologies
Contribute to development and implementation of common QA Governance processes, associated reporting metrics, common continuous improvement criteria and measurements
Benchmark application groups QA services related to system/integration and user and business acceptance testing to best in industry organizations
Establish and drive strategic and tactical QA initiatives and plans, set direction and vision for the team
Research emerging trends/best practices and determines implications of proposed methodologies on meeting business unit strategy; identify applications that will benefit from automation and develop/implement test cases
Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners
Facilitate complex group meetings and conduct information gathering sessions
Prepare and deliver presentations to business and technology partners, senior management and executives, selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience
Resolve conflicts/issues and escalates others as appropriate
Manage the operations with 3rd party vendors
Manage performance, reward and recognition; establish succession plan for key positions

Experience: Job Requirements:
Minimum requirements to ensure your success in this role are:
5+ years experience leading QA initiatives and teams within the Financial sector
Equities trading and settlement knowledge/experience including Electronic trading, Cash, Program, Derivatives and Trading Operations
FIX protocol knowledge required
Manage and support industry standard QA products including HP/Mercury suite of products, Verifix and Aegis Exchange simulator
Experience with various testing tools, approaches and methodologies
