One of SGA s premier Financial Services client in NYC is seeking a C# / Sybase developer working on the design and development of the global Prime Lending trading platform; covering pre trading, lender feeds, client requests, reporting and decision support. Therefore needs to be experienced in working in Client-Server application architecture and Operating system knowledge. The candidate will be working on strategic Securities Lending enhancement projects to deliver strategic projects including new pre trading platform and new trading platform. He or she will gain subject matter expertise on a number of securities Lending sub systems / components and provide input into projects impacting these parts of the system.
Key Responsibilities:
Successfully implement new or enhanced applications for Global Securities Lending team.
Provide strong c# /.Net / Sybase development skills to the New York GSL development team.
Work closely with other development leads locally and outsourced development resources to create an effective team culture with strong delivery ethic
Help develop specifications with the business analysts on a wide range of projects and initiatives, spanning Securities Lending as well as other Prime Services initiatives
Lead the development process from requirements gathering, through implementation, to release
Contribute to setting of high standards for code development and implement high quality development processes.
Provide support for the deployment and successful use of the application in Credit-Suisse regional offices.
Run user acceptance tests with a wide user base across front office, back office and IT, and work with the development team to manage the release process.
Design, document, implement, test, and release to the highest possible standard, with attention to detail
Follow a formal Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC+) in every aspect of the development
Show ability to be an effective team member working closely with colleagues from multiple teams and disciplines, bringing added value to the team.
Show understanding of good project planning practices and team management processes
Display attention to detail, willingness to learn, and must be proactive
Good verbal and written communication
Qualifications/Competencies
Strong C# /.net and Sybase development skills in a Client/Server environment
Hand-on experience of WCF, WPF and Silverlight is a plus.
At least 10 years development experience with at least 2 in a relevant business
Good understanding of OO and n-tier development techniques.
Clearcase/Subversion (optional)
Ability to work in a pressurized environment to tight deadlines.
