Job Description General Summary: The candidate will be responsible for testing proprietary fixed income pricing applications. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the test plans and manual test cases. The candidate must be capable of transforming manual test cases into functional test scripts with Mercury Quick Test Professional.Candidates must be capable of reviewing software applications objectively, work with Business Analysts and End-users to understand requirements and Developers to understand the impact of changes to assist debugging and enhancing applications.Candidates will be responsible for assisting in ongoing general maintenance, technical support and incremental software upgrades for QA tools including the Mercury Suite and Serena TeamTrack. The candidate will be required to review functional requirements to asses their impact on the software applications and formulate tests cases.The candidate must be well versed in Software QA concepts, practices and tools and will rely on their extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The candidate must be capable of presenting regular progress reports, defect reports and test execution reports.Technical Requirements: Experience with the Mercury Suite, including QualityCenter, QuickTest Pro is required. Experience with implementing or administering the tools is preferred. Experience with SQL and UNIX is required. Experience working with DBMSs including Sybase and Oracle is required. Experience with using defect tracking tools is required. Experience with implementing or administering the tools is a preferred. Experience in the Financial Industry is required while experience with Fixed Income products preferred. Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to move easily between varied tasks. Eight years of experience in the field of Software Quality Assurance. List PREFERRED degree(s), license(s), and/or certification(s):Mercury Certification for Quality Center or QuickTest Professional
