Quality Assurance Analyst (QA Analyst) – Financial Markets - NYC
The QA provides hands-on support for the QA testing process. The scope of this position is to support all QA test activities including:
Establishing and maintaining a well-defined process between Development and QA teams.
Developing test cases and ensuring high quality of delivered products.
Finding innovative solutions to increase quality and focus on automating testing techniques executing test cases and managing resources to ensure , nimbleness and quality of delivery
Responsibilities:
Design, implementation and documentation of QA test scripts ensuring complete functional test coverage.
Support all test activities, enhance, develop and execute manual and automated test scripts, record and track software discrepancies. All test scripts and defects are managed through Mercury Quality Center.
Work with Project Managers and Developers to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance and quality.
Ensure that all domain knowledge and test cases are articulated and structured well to enable swift execution by any other member of the QA team.
Provide QA project overview to QA management in NY and progress tracking using QA tool –Mercury Quality Center to enter, run and manage test cases, defects and report results.
Work closely with Development and the Clients on requirement review and prompt follow-up on open questions.
Responsible for executing test scripts with a strong focus on teamwork and successful execution of the project.

Technical Skills
In depth experience in writing and updating Test Plans and Test Cases. Hands on experience in executing test cases.
Experience with software development and test life cycle. Generate test cases from requirements and technical specifications.
Experience with Windows, NT & UNIX including Unix Shell programming. Understanding of database design concepts and ability to use SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
Experience with test automation tools such as Mercury Quality Center including implementation of Quick Test Pro as well as Load Runner for performance testing.
Ability to script and increase the levels of automation to reduce testing lead times.
