DescriptionETL/Business Objects DevelopersNYCFulltime Main Duties Work with the business and data analysts to evaluate data requirements,and propose optimal ETL solutions and delivery approaches that meet those requirements. Conduct additional data analysis as needed to support optimal solution. Work with the development lead to recommend good design,coding and implementation practices. Develop and implement the solution using Informatica and Business Objects using good design standards and practices. Work with the technology team and take responsibility for the timely implementation of the solution Person RequirementsQualification/Education Required: Minimum 2:1 or equivalent degree from a recognized university or Bachelor's Degree from a recognized 4 year college or university. Qualification Preferred: Numerate degreeExperience Required: Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL,databases,Informatica and Business Objects. Prior experience with development/implementation at a major brokerage firm. Must have experience in designing and developing highly scalable systems that will handle very large volumes of data globally. Demonstrated ability to communicate with business analysts/data analysts and technology teams. Experience Preferred: Experience in Datawarehouse development,OLAP tools. Experience of working with the Compliance function within an Investment Bank. Strong IT skills and background,especially in the financial services industry; comfortable with computer based tools,processes and workflows. Experience with Actimize and/or Mantas a plus.Skills/Aptitude Required: Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica. Experience in Sybase,Oracle,SQL server. Experience in UNIX,Autosys,and Java. Experience with Business Objects. Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to attend many tasks simultaneously,with frequently changing priorities. Extremely organized,excellent oral and written communication skills,particularly in documenting code releases. Able to multi-task and prioritize a demanding and varied workload. Work long hours when required,to communicate with groups in other regions. Ability to identify,appropriately escalate issues & risks & consider solutions.
