The candidate will be responsible for analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of internal and external web-based applications. Primary areas of responsibility include customer self-service applications and web-based interfaces into our subscriber management system for use by customer care agents. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle. - Full system life cycle development of customer self-service and customer care center applications. - Work with business analysts to develop detailed technical specifications based on functional user requirements. - Contribute to the architecture and design of applications. Develop system and object models to support proposed architecture. - Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models. Develop SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data access. - Work closely with the Portal Infranet application development team to implement applications that run transactions against our Portal Infranet subscriber management system. - Contribute to the development and execution of unit, system, integration, stress and user acceptance testing. - Address performance issues in an effort to ensure that all applications are highly scalable and can support high volumes of traffic. - Anticipate and resolve technical problems and solve difficult challenges with only occasional need for technical assistance from others. - Recommend and promote new technologies and best practices to enable us to better support our customers. - Recommend tools and utilities for development, testing and management of web-based applications. * Compensation depends on experience * No third parties * No corp to corp/1099 * Due to large response, candidates that do not meet the requirement may not be contacted regarding their submission LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY.
