Sr. DBA (Oracle, MS SQL and SYBASE) Key Relationships: Reports to Head of Database Services - US Wholesale Infrastructure. Play an integral role in the database infrastructure support for applications; interaction with the developers, other infrastructure groups and project management office. Responsibilities: Database software installation, upgrade, migration, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, development support, database security, interface with database vendors, and evaluate vendor products. Provide installation, upgrade, and support of Business Intelligence, ETL, and OLAP Database tools. Day-to-day database administration support of all database platforms (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase, Informix) in a large 24x7 environment. Investigate and resolve key database issues. Perform Database Design Review, Code Review, Change Management, and Issue Tracking. Skills: Expert on Database Administration and maintenance of Oracle, MS SQL Server Platforms on UNIX, and Windows. Good knowledge of UNIX and Perl. Certified Oracle Professional is preferred. Knowledge of Database Administration and maintenance of Sybase, Informix desirable. Good knowledge of Database Design, SQL, Database Programming and Unix Utilities such Shell, Perl and Awk. Knowledge of Business Intelligence, ETL, Database Administration, and OLAP Database tools. Knowledge of programming languages - C, C++, Java Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic Project Management skills. Possess good interpersonal skills.
