VMS Specialist

Duration: 18 months
Mandatory Skills/Experience :
- Proficiency in speaking and comprehending the English language (Must be able to speak English that can be understood by native speakers of English and must be able to comprehend English when spoken by native speakers of English.). Personal interview will be used to determine if the candidate satisfactorily meets qualification.
- Minimum 4 years experience in VMS Systems Administration including installing and configuring Open VMS 7.3.x or 8.Xsystems, TCP/IP services, security policies and system policies. At least one (1) year must be since July, 2004.
Desirable Experience/Skills (Listed in order of importance)
- Experience in HP/Compaq Office Server for Open VMS Administration .
- Experience with Customization of All-in-1/Office Server, including Application Programming for HP/Compaq Office Server.
- Experience installing, configuring, and administering HP OpenVMS 7.3.x or 8.X clusters.
- Experience performing upgrades on Open VMS clusters and servers
- Experience supporting PMDF Internet mail gateway on an Open VMS platform.
- Working knowledge of DNS .
- Experience with HP Pathworks V6.1 and V7.3 Advanced Server.
- Experience supporting HP/Compaq Office Server Web Interface.
- Experience with system security monitoring and auditing.
- Working knowledge of SMTP.
- Experience with SPAM Filtering and Virus protection products.
- Experience in system performance monitoring and tuning.
- Experience installing and configuring a Browser Based Email interface.
- Experience working on a project team in a large, complex, data processing environment
