The Back-Office financial system (BOSS) is a J2EE application running on JBoss, which interfaces with a number of operational systems through a sophisticated message-based information bus. Therefore, Enterprise Integration Architecture patterns and practices constitute key enabling technologies Experience: A. Education and Training
? Minimum BS degree in Computer Science or related program.
B. Technical Requirements
? Extensive experience with J2EE on a number of large-scale, mission critical projects.
? Strong knowledge of ?post-EJB? J2EE technologies, including Spring Framework or other lightweight container architectures.
? Solid technical understanding of core EJB technologies.
? Thorough expertise in JBOSS.
? Substantial experience with Hibernate, or other O/R mapping technologies.
? Substantial experience with JMS, and message-driven middleware in general. Experience designing and developing MDB?s.
? Thorough understanding of issues relating to distributed transaction management in large applications, including XA transaction resources.
? Detailed knowledge of web service technologies and their implementation in a J2EE environment.
? Solid OO background and expertise; detailed, practical knowledge of classic OO patterns for enterprise software development.
? Experience with IBM Message Broker a plus.
? Excellent SQL skills and strong knowledge of relational database theory.
? Significant experience in developing insurance applications a major plus.
? Knowledge of .NET technology a plus.
? Significant experience and expertise in development across all tiers of large-scale enterprise applications ? from presentation layer, through application layers, through the access of back-end corporate resources.
C. Technical and Professional Experience
? 5+ years experience using J2EE technologies.
? 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering and/or IT deployment.
? Significant experience as a hands-on technical lead required. Wider project management skills a plus.
? Experience in all phases of product cycle: gathering project requirements, planning user interface, and designing technical specifications. Building, testing, deploying, and maintaining software.
D. Skills Requirements:
o Very strong, productive OO developer using J2EE technologies.
o Strong analytical, organizational, communication and data management skills
o Strong mathematical capabilities, analytical skills, and detail orientation
