POSITION PURPOSE:
This positions purpose is to support Java application programs leading to the effective and efficient isolation of on-line problems and developing effective work-around solutions. Experience in Financial Industry as outlined below is a must.
Technical Expectations/Professional Practices:
. Java/XML:
o Strong Java server-side enterprise development experience
o Strong Object Oriented Design (UML experience a plus)
o Extensive use of JDBC and JDK 1.4.X
o XML experience a plus
o J2EE and Web Services a plus
. Sybase 12.5:
o Strong database schema creation
o Experience optimizing SQL queries
o Good SQL experience including Stored Procedures and Triggers
o Large database design and programming
. UNIX:
o Experience with Sun Solaris 8
o Shell scripting
. Financial:
o Experience with Fixed Income, Derivatives, Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds,OTC instruments, curves and price models. (Helpful)
