System Operator in New York, NY

SysOps (Systems Operations) team is involved in the production management of client-facing and internal trading systems across Equities and Derivatives including Algorithmic Trading, Program Trading, Futures Trading, Block Trading and Market Making. As part of the team, the person in this role will, under the guidance of the team leader, primarily focus on the following tasks: Experience: . Have more than 2 years of technology experience . Should be able to work in a high pressure environment . Excellent analytical abilities - should be able to piece together complex issues quickly . Be uncompromising in problem solving and desire to service clients, internal and external . Ability to roll up their sleeves. Strong work ethic . Strong communication and interpersonal skill . Knowledge of Unix environment is essential . Prior experience supporting Equities trading system at brokerage firms, ECNs (Instinet, Arca, etc.) or Exchanges (SIAC, NASDAQ, etc.) strongly preferred .
