This is an 18-month contract position in Albany, NY for a Writing/Business Analysts. Mandatory requirements: 3 years examining methods/processes of the business flow within a diverse public/private service delivery organization; 3 years assessing/documenting existing business processes; 3 years incorporating value-added steps into a new process through the translation of business practices into terminology/desk products that seamlessly merge computer/microcomputer technology with work processes; 3 years researching best practices of comparable organizations and analyzing the feasibility of their installation; 3 years developing new methods/procedures, implementation plans/schedules, and written reports. Preferred experience includes: 5 years as a lead business analyst with responsibilities including facilitating, leading and managing meetings with users to identify/gather business requirements, authoring requirements, rules and logical design documents, managing workload of other analysts and reviewing and editing documentation written by other analysts; 5 years identifying/documenting business processes, rules, complex security requirements, and producing Logical Design documents from which developers can create a technical design; 5 years analyzing current business processes, related system use/data flow, and recommending alternative business processes, system processes and data flow to customer/end users; 5 years performing Technical Unit product testing, leading User Acceptance testing; validating system responses against the business requirements including coordinating and scheduling of this effort; 6 months writing technical/business specifications for complex PowerBuilder applications; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
