Permanent Hire position with our direct client, a large Fortune500 company in NY City.ROLE: WEB DEVELOPERKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 1. Demonstrable skills in web application design using the Visual Studio .NET platform 2. Demonstrable skills in database modeling and administration using SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 3. Strong working knowledge of IIS and the Windows 2003 Server O/S platform 4. Ability to work with both clients and IS personnel at all levels. 5. Ability to work in large fast-paced, flexible, corporate environment. 6. Ability to adapt to client requirements under project time constraints. 7. Significant development experience for dot-com sites with high brand-name MINIMUM TECHNICAL SKILLS: 3-5 years experience coding in the following languages: HTML, Visual Basic, Classic ASP, ASP.NET 1.1/2.0, VB.NET, C#, T-SQL, PL/SQL 3-5 years experience modeling SQL Server 7/2000 databases, including usage of DTS and job creation (replication a plus) 1-3 years experience coding in the following languages: JavaScript, ActionScript for Flash SharePoint Portal Server, CheckPoint, BrightStor a plus MCP, MCAD or MCSD certification strongly desirable Position Responsibilities: BASIC FUNCTION Responsible for full life-cycle development of web applications including design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration. Primary Duties: 1. Design and Implementation of business tier and data tier functionality for company's dot-com properties. 2. Design and Implementation of business tier and data tier functionality for company's intranet 3. Implementation support for commercially-obtained web-applications for company's dot-com and intranet properties. Secondary Duties: 1. Administration of SQL Server database instances for company's dot-com and intranet properties. 2. Participation with web designer personnel in presentation layer scripting, including DHTML and ActionScript. 3. Configuration and Tuning of IIS web sites for company's dot-com properties.
